Our Story
Thrive Housing and Support was established in 1978 under the name Kawartha Participation Projects (KPP) as a housing facility for people with disabilities. In 1993 Towerhill Village opened as a new community housing site in Peterborough and included supportive housing units for individuals with physical disabilities in various apartment complexes. In 2007, the St. Peter's location opened in partnership with TVM property management. St. Peter's added 30 new supportive housing units to the KPP portfolio.
In 2023, KPP amalgamated with Hilliard Park Homes in Peterborough and officially became Thrive Housing and Support. Thrive owns apartments and townhomes in Peterborough, Ontario, used for supportive and community housing. Thrive also supports clients through outreach support in Peterborough, Northumberland, Haliburton and the City of Kawartha Lakes.
Thrive also provides property management services to our community housing partners. Today, Thrive employs approximately 100 frontline and administrative staff and supports over 100 clients.
