Community Housing without SupportsThrive manages community housing without supports. Most of these units are considered Rent Geared to Income (RGI) housing, where rent is calculated based on how much you can afford to pay each month.
Tenants at these sites are usually general applicants and not necessarily Thrive clients. Applicants are selected through the City of Peterborough's centralized RGI housing waitlist and follow the Housing Services Act rules. Housing Access Peterborough, operated by Peterborough Social Services, manages all RGI housing applications and organizes placements in over 30 RGI housing complexes, including two that are owned by Thrive Housing and Support (Towerhill Village and Hilliard Park Homes) and three that are managed by Thrive Housing and Support (Kiwanis Scott's Plains, Kairos Non-profit, and AOTS Chemong Village).
