Client & Tenant Funding

The purpose of the THRIVE fund is to support our vision of communities where people can thrive and our mission of delivering exceptional housing and support services that positively impact the people in our community. Purchases through this fund will support our values of collaboration, inclusion, security, quality and independence.
 
All Service Users of THRIVE (including tenants and clients) are eligible for the THRIVE fund as long as no other funding option exists. ​

What Can Be Purchased?

Includes but is not limited to:
  • Medication not covered by insurance
  • Emergency vet care
  • Clothing, hygiene products
  • Transfer equipment, medical equipment (Hoyer, bed, shower chair, commode etc.)
  • Emergency food supplies
  • Transportation for medical or special activities
  • One time funding amount for clients moving out of homelessness into their own homes. Items such as cutlery, plates, pots, cleaning products, furniture etc.​

Who Can Apply?

  • Clients and tenants
  • Family, friends, and Thrive staff on behalf of Thrive clients and tenants

Eligibility & Criteria

  • Clients and tenants must have a financial need and cannot purchase the item on their own.
  • Clients and tenants can apply for multiple funding requests throughout the year.
  • There is no limit on the number of applications or total cost of request; however, this will be taken into consideration during the approval process.
  • All other funding options must have been exhausted through other agencies. Examples include (but are not limited to) the Ontario Assistive Devices Program, Social Services, ODSP, and March of Dimes.
  • How much the purchase will benefit the client or tenant will be factored in.

Group Funding

The Thrive Fund provides assistance to unfunded Thrive programs and services that align with Thrive's Mission, Vision, Values and Strategic Plan.

What Can Be Purchased?

Includes but is not limited to:
  • Client holiday dinners or gifts
  • Programs and activities (example: art class, swimming)
  • Summer Camps & recreational activities
  • Group clients activities (parties, lift lock cruise or bus of clients to the music Fest for an evening)
  • Fundraising initiatives with a return on investment
  • Staff appreciation events

  • Thrive staff

Eligibility & Criteria

  • For non-specific client or tenant related applications.
  • There must be a connection to how the initiative will connect to the Mission, Vision and Values of Thrive or align with the Strategic Plan.
