Key Responsibilities (full job description at our website www.thrivehs.ca ):
· Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports to provide insights and guidance to the executive team and board of directors.
· Lead the finance team, providing mentorship and guidance to staff members.
Manage the organization's financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
· Managing technical supports and contracts with service providers such as Cogeco, Bell, Telus and Shaw Computer Systems.
· Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and reporting requirements.
· Optimize financial processes and systems, leveraging your IT and technology expertise.
· Collaborate with various departments to provide financial support for program and project development.
· Advise the executive team on financial strategies and decisions to achieve organizational goals.
Qualifications
· Minimum of five (5) years Senior Financial Management experience preferably in a not-for-profit organization funded by the Government of Ontario;
· Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is required.
· Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
· Strong capabilities required in the use of Information Technology and accounting software (Great Plains), Microsoft Office, payroll and HRIS software, and database management software (AlayaCare and Yardi Voyageur).
· Proven experience in financial statement preparation, analysis, and reporting.
· Strong leadership and team management skills.
· Knowledge of IT systems and financial software.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Compensation:
Annual $88,544 to $107,625
Criminal Reference Check:
· Acceptable criminal reference check
Vehicle:
· Valid Driver’s License and reliable vehicle preferred but not required.
